Happy Skiers and a view of Camel's Hump from Butternut Cabin   

Interior of Butternut CabinButternut Cabin features a woodstove, picnic table, four bunks, a loft, and a great view. Users must bring sleeping bags/pads for overnights. Butternut Cabin is located one mile from our main lodge, and is accessible only by ski or snowshoe in winter, or hike/bike in summer. There is no running water or electricity, but there is an outhouse and a spectacular view! The cabin rental includes firewood, but please bring matches, paper and kindling. Butternut Cabin is open to day users during the daylight hours, but is often rented by night to groups. If pre-arranged, hot and homemade breakfast is available down at the lodge for $10 pp.

 

 Butternut Cabin Rental Prices:

Summer: $50/night for up to 4 guests and $5 pp extra up to 12 guests.

Winter: Season Pass holders: $50/night for up to 4 guests and $5 pp extra up to 12 guests. Non-season pass holders must pay for a trail passes.

Winter: Non-season Pass holders: $100/ night up to 4 guests plus $20 pp up to 12 guests. (includes trail passes)

Cabin Rules:

1) Inclement weather is part of the fun of the cabin, not an excuse to cancel. Reservations may not be switched and are non-refundable.
2)Every person staying at the cabin must check in and pay at the lodge prior to heading up to the cabin.
3)Walking or Snowshoeing on groomed trails is prohibited and will incur a $100 fine. Snowshoers must stay on the specified snowshoe trails.
4)No dogs are allowed in winter and if you are caught with your dogs on the trails it is also a $100 fine (per dog).

 If using in the Summer:

  • Non-refundable pre-payment on all reservations.
  • Dogs are allowed only in the summer.
  • Hiking or Mountain biking passes are required ($3 to $6)

If using in the Winter:

  • Non-refundable pre-payment on all reservations.
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed!!!
  • All users must use skis or snowshoes to access the cabin (no walking on trails)
  • No snowshoeing on ski trails (use snowshoe trails only).
