Sleepy Hollow Triple Endurance Series

40km, 10km and 4 x 10km Relay

Trail Run on June 20th 2004, Mountain Bike on August 29th 2004, XC Ski on Jan. 9th 2005

Races: Can be done individually or as a race series.

Location: Sleepy Hollow Inn, Ski and Bike Center, Huntington, VT

Start Time: 9 am Run, 11am Bike, Ski 9am

Registration and bib pick-up is Day of Race: 7am- 8am @ Sleepy Hollow

Course: All races are on the trails at Sleepy Hollow Inn, Ski and Bike Center. The mostly wooded trails are hilly and challenging, and offer gorgeous clearings with views of the Green Mountains. The trails can be soft in places and the footing quite rough.

Entry Requirements: All marathon runners should enter with an expectation of finishing within 6 hours. All Mountain Bikers and Skiers should finish within 5 hours. Minimum age for competing in the full marathon distance is 16 or older. There are no age requirements for the relay races.

Awards: Prizes will be awarded for men and women by age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up. Relay prizes will be awarded to open men's and women's teams, youngest team, oldest team, family teams and business/organization teams. *Grand Prizes will be given for athletes participating in all three races in the marathon series.

Relay: Each leg of the relay is 10km and one person may do multiple legs.

Results: Unofficial results will be available after the race and official results will be posted on the Sleepy Hollow website www.skisleepyhollow.com

The participant(s) of these races, as a condition of being permitted to use the facilities of Sleepy Hollow Inn, Ski and Bike Center, agrees to assume all risk of personal injury or loss or damage to property. The participant(s) agrees and understands that running, biking and skiing can be hazardous. Trail conditions vary constantly because of weather changes and skier, biker, runner use. Ice, mud, variations in terrain, bumps, forest growth, rocks, debris, utility poles, downed trees, downed branches, wildlife and other hazards, including but not limited to other skiers, runners and bikers, may exist throughout the area. Be aware that snow grooming, trail maintenance, or other work may be in progress at any time. Always ski, run and bike in control and stay clear of this equipment. The participant(s) also understand and agree that skiing, running and mountain biking are strenuous physical activities, and acknowledge and agree that he or she is in suitable, good physical condition and is fully able to participate in these activities. Management retains the right to revoke use at any time for reckless or improper skiing or biking or for other misconduct or nuisance caused by the participant(s).
