Ichabod's Revenge 10km Classic Race
Race Update: 2/13/10.... After putting down the tiller and the tracksetter on planned course and pulling up too much debris, we've decided to change the race course to the following 5km loop: Down Liberty Meadow Trail, back Lower Saddle Trail, out Sap Run, right on Eli's Escape, and back to Molly's Meadow on Upper Saddle Trail. Of course we apologize for having to switch courses at the last minute, but I think this course will provide for much better snow coverage.
Race Information: All races classic technique, mass start. Power available under the Pavillion for waxing (BYO extension cord) Toko Wax tip here. Conditions are in general very nice... Though expect a few sections with tilled debris. Since the big meltdown a few weeks back we've picked up 6" of powder over the course of several small snowfalls, so expect the track to be a mix of powder and granular base. We plan to groom double tracks where possible and single tracks elsewhere. We'll have water at the finish area, and snacks for purchase down at the lodge. We recommend bringing your own lunch, however, as there is not too much for sale here besides Sun Valley bars and brownies.
Bib pickup & Day of Race registration: Located in ski shop in the main lodge. Registration and bib pickup available until 10 minutes before race start. Our motto is if you can get here, we'll get you into the race.
Course Description: The open Citizens 10km race will consist of 2 laps of the 5km loop. See below for updated map.
1st/2nd Grade Course: 1 loop around Potato Farmer, starting and finishing in Molly's Meadow.
3rd/4th Grade Course: Starting down Liberty Meadow, Right on Eli's Escape, Right on Lower Saddle to Molly's Meadow for a finish.
5th/6th Grade: Starting down Liberty Meadow, back Lower Saddle to Molly's Meadow for a finish.
7th/8th Grade Course: 5km loop.

- 7th/8th Grade: 10:00AM 5 km loop
- 5th/6th Grade 10:05AM 2.5km loop
- 3rd/4th Grade: 10:10AM 2km loop
- 1st/2nd Grade: 10:15AM 1km loop
- Open Citizens Race: 11:00AM start - 2 loops of the 5km course (9th and 10th grade skis 1 loop only)
